G’day! Australia Day is a time for Australians to come together and celebrate everything that is great about being Australian. We have a delicious cocktail to mark this special day.
The tradition for this landmark day began in the nineteenth* century, when it was referred to as First Landing Day or Foundation Day. However, it was not until as recent as 1994** that the day was consistently marked as a public holiday every year.
The combination of premium vodka, smoked apple juice, fresh lemon juice with a hint of bitters and ginger soda makes the Smokey Steve cocktail an obvious choice to savour with your fellow Aussies.
Here’s the recipe to make the cocktail for your Australia Day celebrations party:
- 50ml Ketel One Vodka
- 40ml fresh pressed maple smoked apple juice
- 20ml fresh lemon juice
- Dash of Angostura bitters
- Top with Beaufort sweetened ginger soda
Method: Shake all the ingredients with ice. Strain into an ice filled glass.
Garnish: With an apple fan.
Alcohol content: 15.80 grams per single serve.
