There are many stories around the creation of Valentine’s Day but it is thought to have originated from a Roman festival called Lupercalia*. As part of this boys would draw girl’s names out of a box and they would be boyfriend and girlfriend for the festival.
Now, Valentine’s Day is celebrated across the world and is the perfect excuse to show affection for another person with special gifts, and traditionally it allows a women chance to propose to a man, should it be a leap year.

From Schiedam With Love
From our home to yours. No Valentine can turn down some fizz.
- 40ml Ketel One Vodka
- 25ml fresh lemon juice
- 10ml sugar syrup
- 15ml elderflower cordial
- top up with Prosecco
Shake the first 5 ingredients with ice and strain into a glass or copper kettle. Top up with the Prosecco. Garnish with a lemon twist.
Alcohol Content: 15.60 grams per single serving
Gaudi’s Moustache Punch
Show off your fun and creative side with these extraordinary flavours.
- 50ml Ketel One Vodka
- 30ml cloudy apple juice
- 20ml pineapple syrup
- 15ml fino sherry
- 15ml freshly squeezed lime juice
- ½ bar spoon of Absinth
- 10 chunks of celery
- 15 slices of cucumber
Macerate all the ingredients (except the soda and cucumber slices) with the celery chunks overnight. Fill up with ice and top with soda. Garnish with cucumber slices.
