‘Tis the season for winter cocktails, and here at Ketel One, we’ve crafted the perfect cocktail to help banish those winter blues. All of our recipes utilise the fragrance and flavour of seasonal ingredients, resulting in the high quality finish we strive for.
With summertime now a distant memory, and autumn leaves sweeping the streets, we’ve delved into our winter cocktail list to let you know which cocktail will be on the Nolet’s table this season…
Our ‘Put the Ketel On’ (catchy name, we know), fuses the combination of fresh, zesty lemon, and a dark, bitter chocolate liqueur with a unique winter warmer syrup, which you can create yourself at home to share with the family.
A key ingredient of the syrup is Lapsang Souchong tea. Originating from the Chinese providence of Fujian, the leaves are plucked and withered over pine fires. To create the unmistakable flavour, the leaves are dried and rolled in bamboo baskets and smoked over pinewood fires*. It is then combined with the aniseed fuelled star anise and muscovado sugar to finish this delicious syrup.
