Origin
Schiedam, Holland is celebrated on our bottle's base as well. This city was once regarded as a spirits capital and is said to be the place where brandy and jenever, Dutch gin, were invented.

On the cap and bottom of our bottles, you can find an invitation to come visit us and see how Ketel One Vodka is made. We would love to have you.
Signature Neck
Back in the day, our bottle had a short neck. Bartenders used to complain that it was hard to grip when cocktails had to be made quick. We listened and increased the neck height to what is now our signature stance.
Traditional shape
Our bottle was designed in the style of stone spirits bottles common in The Netherlands.

What makes us unique is our combination of modern distilling techniques with the use of traditional copper pot stills. Our label honours that heritage with an image of the original copper pot still, the eponymous Distilleerketel No. 1
Name
It's no surprise that we named our distillery after our original copper pot still, Distilleerketel No. 1. Which is Dutch for Pot Still Nr. 1.
List of family members
11 generations of the Nolet family have run the Nolet distillery. Ketel One Vodka was created in 1983 by the 10th generation of the Nolet family. To commemorate our family heritage, every member of the Nolet family that has headed the distillery is listed on the side of our bottle.
Family Made
Our distillery, in which Ketel One Vodka is made, has always been a family-run operation. Our family heritage and values are something we celebrate and cherish.
Signature
To guarantee the quality of the liquid, every batch of Ketel One Vodka is approved and signed off – quite literally – by a Nolet family member. And has been since the beginning. Currently, our bottle displays the signature of Carl Senior, a 10th generation Nolet.
Crest
Every bottle of Ketel One Vodka is made in Schiedam, Holland. And every bottle is graced with our family crest. A seal of authenticity and a guarantee of quality.
Founding year
The Nolet Distillery was founded over 330 years ago in 1691.
Hidden Detail
Take away the first two letters and the last letter of our brand name. Then read it backwards. What you get is our family name: Nolet. Nifty!
