- "I work at a cocktail bar which is located in a residential Istanbul neighborhood. Our customers are also our neighbors, and we interact on their way home from work or on their way out for a night on the town. Unfortunately, since the pandemic, our neighborhood has fallen on tough times and people from all walks of life might need a helping hand. I realized that we all tend to have big smiles at the end of a nice and relaxing shave. For my project, I was inspired by one of the cleanest-shaven faces I have ever seen; the face
- of Bob Nolet. That is why I named it as Bob’s Beard. Using the coffee from our own roastery, I was able to create a Ketel One cocktail which was inspired by the espresso martini. With its shaving foam-like garnish, Bob’s Beard comes along with a coaster which could be used as a token for a free shave. For this project, I collaborated with one of the local barber shops in my district, the Artizan Barbershop. Anyone having the token could get a free shave at the Artizan or you could just visit the shop and request a shave using
- the tokens hooked up on the hanger. The project got very positive reactions from our customers since it gave them an opportunity to not only support our local barber shop but also to be a part of a project which aims to help anonymous people.."
Taste it for yourself.
